Rev. Martin A. Tyce

Originally from Wyoming, Martin A. Tyce joined the United States Military Academy Concert Band at West Point after completing his undergraduate studies at Bethany College, Lindsborg, KS in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts. 

Over the years, in addition to completing a Master of Science in Counseling at Long Island University, C.W. Post, Mr. Tyce has been active with West Point Lutheran Ministries.  In 2008, he was assigned as vicar to the West Point Lutheran Ministries at West Point, NY as a Distance Education Leading toward Ordination student in association with Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. These studies were completed in February of 2012. 

Formerly he was a trombonist and Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army, Rev. Tyce has served as the Brass Group Leader of the United States Military Academy Concert Band. Rev. Tyce retired after more than 23 years of military service, allowing him to concentrate more fully on ministry. 

His ordination into the Holy Ministry was on May 12, 2012 at West Point. He was then installed as Pastor of Atonement Lutheran Church on May 19th, 2012. 

He currently lives in the town of Montgomery with his wife, Teresa, and they have 2 children, Natalie, and Carl (now in college) Both Rev. Tyce and Teresa are adjunct professors at Marist College teaching Introduction to Classical Music and Music in America, and conducting various ensembles.
